About Me

Hi, I’m Jack—and Games with Mom is personal for me.

I grew up around a family business in skilled nursing and elder care, where I saw firsthand how much joy, dignity, and connection matter in someone’s later years. My very first job—at 16—was running activity programs for residents, and the experience left a strong impression on me.

Over the years, I’ve come to believe something simple but powerful:

No matter where someone is in life, they’re still the same sharp, funny, curious, and complex person they’ve always been.

That’s the spirit I bring to every visit.

Today, I serve on the City of Raleigh’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, where I help advocate for inclusive, welcoming spaces for residents of all ages. It’s a role rooted in the same values I bring to this work—showing up for people, building community, and supporting meaningful quality of life.

I’ve got wide-ranging interests and love good conversation—whether it’s music, American history, gardening, Jeopardy!, or ACC basketball. I know I’ll find something to connect on with your mom or dad. And yes, I bring the games—but more than that, I bring presence, respect, and companionship.

This is more than a service. It’s a relationship—and I’m honored to be invited into your family’s life, even for an hour at a time.
